In Pollara, on the island of Salina, there is a small family run hotel nestled in the oldest inactive craters of the Aeolian archipelago. The crater is now covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation, including many « Malvasia » vineyards and capers plants.
Renovated in compliance with sustainable development criterial, this typical Aeolian building, enjoys a panoramic position 500m from the sea.
Enjoy this hotel for its simplicity, its peaceful atmosphere, its beautiful sunsets and the quality of its restaurant offering typical aeolian and sicilian food made with local products. One will appreciate to have his dinner served in the shadow of the pergola covered with draping bougainvillea.
Located away from the tourist flow, the hotel is the perfect place for travelers in search of tranquility, nature and authenticity. The island offers numerous hiking trails.

THE ROOMS:
10 rooms comfortablly furnished, equipped with bathroom, TV, mini-bar, air conditioning. All rooms have large terraces overlooking the sea or the mountains. Some of them enjoy a spectacular view of the islands of Filicudi and Alicudi.
Breakfast consisting, among others, of pies and homemade cookies is served outside in season.

Curiosity : the movie "Il postino" with Philippe Noiret and Massimo Troisi was partly filmed a few meters away from this hotel.
