In the heart of the hilly countryside of Caltagirone populated by vineyard and cork-trees stands a magnificent XVIII century building whose ancient winery dates from the Greco-Roman era.
A careful renovation has preserved the historical character of the house. Guests will appreciate its spacious living spaces and elegant outdoor areas offering beautiful views over the hills and vineyards surrounding. Besides being a perfect place for relaxing, this luxury small hotel is also the ideal place to taste high quality Sicilian wines such as Nero d'Avola, Cerasuolo and Frappato. The modern winery has been built below the hotel. The owner of the company, had the idea to combine wine with fashion and invited the best among Italian designers to dress these superb and innovative Sicilian wines. Some of the bottle labels have been designed by stylists like Missoni, Gianfranco Ferré, Versace or Alberta Ferretti. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these wines will be used each year to restore an Sicilian artwork.
The wine relais is located outside the mass tourist flow, between the Temples of Agrigento and the cities of Caltagirone, famous for the ceramic workshops, Ragusa, Piazza Armerina well known for the Villa Romana and Vittoria, the only city in Sicily possessing an AOC wine. A large swimming pool, bordered with olive groves and pine trees, along with an elegant Wellness centre set into the ancient winery and a professional service complete the assets of the hotel. The gastronomic restaurant placed next to the ancient winery boasts an open kitchen where one can see the talented chef preparing exquisite dishes of Sicilian gastronomy. The buffet breakfast consists in delicious homemade tarts, cookies and buns daily baked by the chef, fruit and vegetable juices, Greek yoghurt, cereals and cold cuts. While taking your breakfast in one of the suggestive rooms of the ancient building, one can admire the great views on the magic landscape of vineyards and groves. Sweet and salty dishes are also available à "la carte".

The 15 luxury rooms, located in the oldest part of the winery, offer a intimate and felted atmosphere. The decoration of the rooms is a combination of modern furniture and design elements perfectly integrated with the original features like the ancient terracotta pavement, the exposing beams or the stone walls. All rooms are equipped with modern and comfortable bathrooms, TV, hair-dryer, minibar, air conditioning/heating and Wi-fi connection. The Family suite can accommodate 3 to 5 people. There are numerous split-level rooms. Some of the rooms are located on the first floor and have access to a large equipped terrace.
